I had no idea what I was doing, all I knew was I thought the world of hooping, and I wanted to learn all I could. This course is all about you! I remember being a beginner hooper and feeling overwhelmed by all of the tutorials out there, the seemingly infinite amount of tricks, and I felt intimidated watching all of the super talented hoopers out there. Sometimes I even felt bad about my own flow in comparison and what felt like a slow progression. I knew I wanted to become a good hooper, I even wanted to perform someday because I was so passionate about it! But it was a long road teaching myself tricks and scouring the internet for all I could learn about hula hooping. This course is inspired by my 6 years of experience, practice, mistakes, and wins in hooping. It’s been a long, crazy, beautiful ride that’s brought me endless joy. It’s truly been my pleasure to share my love of hooping with flowmies all around the world! Are you ready to build a strong foundation in your hooping journey? Well then, Let’s do this!
Zoe Joy Black is a movement coach, dancer, performer, writer, and flow artist. She has a passion for helping people find freedom and inner power through movement and dance. With over 6 years of experience in movement arts, she’s self-taught in hula hooping, fans, dragon staff, and roller skating. Zoe has learned to use the concept of flow as a tool for personal growth and mindfulness. She teaches workshops, courses, and classes for hula hooping, fans, and intuitive dance to students all over the world. She is the author of the creative journal My Song Book and hosts a weekly series on YouTube called “the Multi-Passionate Diaries helping fellow multi-hyphenate creatives find freedom in their creativity.
